A new approach to Maintenance.
If we look at the field of maintenance we can see that the world of maintenance is changing day by day. The changes are due to several reasons:

Ø Greater equipment complexity.
Ø New maintenance techniques emerging
Ø And also due to the changing views on maintenance organization and responsibilities.
The maintenance is also responding to changing responsibilities. This include:
Ø New emphasis on safety.
Ø Growing awareness between product quality and maintenance, therefore the need of integrating maintenance, R&D and production.
Ø Increasing pressure to achieve high plant availability, minimal breakdown and to contain cost.
So it is quiet necessary to adopt completely new ways of thinking and acting. In this situation we have to work for a new approach to maintenance. This new approach to maintenance enables new equipment’s to be put into effective service with great confidence, speed and perfection.
