Thank
God for Dragon Naturally Speaking. I woke up this morning and could
not see. I don''t remember what happened last night, but I have a
large bump in the back of my head. This happened once before and I
was told that I cold never fight again or I could go blind or die. I
think last night I got a concussion and the doctor was proven right.
I
am proud to say, that I went on the bus today to pick up my my check
and did not get lost. However, getting across the street is the
scariest thing I have ever done. All day I wanted to talk to Mell, it
seams that talking to her keeps me grounded. And everything I may be
facing seams so much easier to handle. Still I am hoping that this
blindness is temporary. I am still learning braille, and it was so
much easier while I could see. I am thinking that I might need to
take a rain check on moving in with my friend Doug. To day showed me
that I am going to need more help than I know how to Ask for.
Why
is it people think it is ok to pull a gun on someone? I may not know
how to get intimated, but I am still feeling the after effects of
being mugged last night. It is time to pray for Gods will, for I know
moving in with Doug is the best thing all around, but I hate the idea
of being a burden. I know that things will work out, God will make
sure of that. I found out the hard way that I can''t completely hide
the fact that I can''t see. I went to McD''s and got something to eat.
I cashier gave me my drink cup and I had no idea where to get the cup
filled. The lobby was full and I was scarred to move. Finally I asked
the cashier to get me some coke. I guess I have a lot to learn.
I
have an appointment on Monday 12/31/2007 at OHSU''s Casey Eye
Institute. The hope is to find out if my blindness is a permeate
condition. I am optimistic that all is well, and that I will be able
to move in to Doug''s next week end. As for my Job, I have been
working with my eyes closed for the past two months, so I would be
fine as long as my boss never figures it out. My SSD is being looked
at. I guess I just need to learn to adapt. Dragon Naturally Speaking,
has replaced my keyboard, so I can continue my writing. However, I
still need to have my work proofed, for grammar.
