the African norm.

i still wonder why the first continent where civilization started is still so backwards as it concerns tradition. i am African
and it hurts me when i hear and see the things African women go through just because in africa they are not just the weaker sex but the weakest sex. that is why a senator could slap a female senator on T.V and go scot free. African women do not have equal rights as their male counterparts in Africa. the married woman in Africa prays she does not become a widow early in life or better still she should die first before her husband because the family of her husband will definitely accuse her of murder if her husband dies, in some parts of Africa women are made to drink the water used to wash the dead body of her husband in order to show she is innocent, and to me that is wicked enough because as that body rottens bacteria infests it and such water is not good for human consumption, it kills. only the lucky married women survive this trauma. some women are forced to sleep in the same room with her dead husband for weeks without food or water. oh my god, the smell of the corpse will definitely reduce her lifespan. i continue to ask myself this question even as i write when will allthese deadly morms be wiped away from this great continent with great prospect. i want to contribute to wipe out this norm so that the African woman will be proud to be African and express herself as a woman. and aas youread this pass this information across to save African women form this deadly African norms.
