This is a very helpful, concise article.  I have been helped a lot by applying the principles it outlines.  Anger is a thorn in too many of our relationships. “Uncontrolled anger is especially dangerous because often it is considered an acceptable sin.”  We use excuses like “I had a right to…” and “You should have seen what she did!” Uncontrolled anger harms us in many ways.  It spoils the memory of the kind, considerate, and gentle moments, destroys family relationships, hampers church ministries, and destroys our testimonies. The emphasis of the article is the 6 steps to take to use the energy of your anger to accomplish good. 1. Recognize, Admit, and Confess the Sin of Uncontrolled Anger. Confession is agreeing with God about anger.  I have to be careful not to choose Satan’s example. 2. See God in the Trial. Every trial is being used by God to accomplish something.  In Genesis 50:20 Joseph told his brothers he knew they had intended it for evil, but God had a plan to use it for good. I may not be emotionally joyful, but there is more to life than emotions.  I must learn to use my mind and will to respond in a way that pleases the Savior. 3. Make Room for God’s Wrath.  Romans 12:19 says exactly that.  His anger is based on knowledge and purpose.  Mine is emotional and gets in the way. 4. Return good for What You Think is Evil. Use the energy of your anger to do good on purpose.  This is so strongly commanded in Romans 12 that battlefield terminology is used. 5.  Communicate to Solve the Problem. I need to make sure I learn the principles of communication and use them – don’t blow up or freeze up. 6. Act to solve your part of the problem. Romans 12:18 tells us, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”  I am responsible for my side of it. Prayer and changing my thinking is not enough.  I must act.  I will find, in looking to God through the Bible, that His Grace is sufficient.
