It is made of cut stone in neo- gothic style. At present a lot of people claim that Big Ban is the name of the worldwide famous London clock. The name comes from the name of sir Benjamin Hall, the main building commissioner in 1858 when the bell was hunged. The bell ,cast in Whitechapel was the second gigant bell, because on the first appeared a scratch during the test of activation( the present one also has a small scratch) This clock is the biggeest one in Great Britain. It is equipped in four faces 7,5 m in diateter each and in hands of length 4,2m. Aren''t these impressive sizes for the year 1858?
