the decision most of the time. The two families have arranged the whole thing. They have
decided to marry her off, they have decided the dowry, utensils and animals to be brought with her. If the boy’s family did not get what was promised, they should settle the score with her family. Why should an innocent girl be punished? It is totally another matter whether girls can be bartered like that.The bridegroom gets the girl and the dowry. This is double standard. Still she gets more injustice!
