Hale (1986) Suggests that there is alack of consensus as to that job satisfaction is . the definition given by Pilkington and wood (1986) like that of blegen and miller (1987) is that job satisfaction is the extent of positive affective orientation to the job . bush (1988) define job satisfaction as: the perception that ones job full fills , or allow the full fillment of ones important job values providing , and to the degree that those values are congruent with ones needs .

But what characteristic are related to satisfaction with marriage and job ? other studies , have provioled clues . for instance , people who are very happily married tend to describe their marital relation ship as having certain traits , most import is the emotional relation ship bring , followed by the parteners ,mutual respect , their ability to communicate well , the help and enjoyment they give one another , their sexual intimacy and their loyality (reedy 1981) .
In the area of job satisfaction , other traits tend to emerge . people who are content with their
occupation often derive satisfaction from the in dependence and self reliance that those occupation bring (sears 1977) .
