Zero: This applies to adults too. This should have been made obvious by
the famous incident of the chairman of Visa
(or similar) publicly
announcing that he wouldn''t have a credit card or let any of his family
have one as the interest rates were contrived to be so high and that it
was a mugs game. A lesson to be learned by young
people should be
rather than to rely on credit and debt and take these
things for
granted that they are always there in everyday life should be instead
to accept that to buy things you need to earn and afford them.
Accepting dept for luxuries and extras contradicts the reasoning behind
buying them in the first place. A lesson to young people is a holiday
earned feels more satisfying and relaxed than one borrowed which you
will spend years working to pay off - the stress of which will require
more holidays in turn (a catch 22).
