Some time ago, a new kind of program is arousing curiosity and also adding some revenue for television broadcasters. The reality shows (the reality show) are formed by a group of characteristics that have agradado fairly to the public. In particular, one of them has won fans around the world and, since last year, also in Brazil: the Big Brother.
It is a little thinking on grounds of the success of this program. Except the purpose of distraction and entertainment, emotional component which means that thousands of people have both interest in BB? Even without being endowed with a history such as soap operas or movies, and even without being informative as the election, has conquered people-level intellectual and social well discrepancies.
Twelve people confined inside a house. Ociosas, spend all day doing nothing, talking about amenities and obviously plotting strategies to win the prize in cash.
The discourse of the media is formed by a number of factors. People do not want only the truth displayed by the news, they want, too, emotions, something that refers to your investments or your libidinais repressed desires inhibited. The BB offers, exactly, a balançada that emotional content in a manner different from that displayed content in soap operas. The individual is identified with one another is presented on the screen as a common person, but the point is that that guy in that situation, is a partial loss of identity to be leaving him to become a character.
The magazine Veja, in mid-January this year, has an interview with the creator of BB, the producer of Dutch Jhon Mol He explains that the idea of the reality shows came of the project''s scientific speculation, which was not successful, the Biosphere 2, and not the book of 1984 Geoge Orwel, as many people imagine. It reveals that the book has a political approach because it is the government who says people with the purpose of control, while the BB covers a question voyeurista and has only the aim to attract the maximum possible audience, one commercial focus.

It is a really worthy of study because content includes psychological, social, anthropological and communication among others.
