The consumerism designates the consumers organization, the formation of associations and the development of the respective means of information and action with the goal of seeing their right recognized. It is the attitude and behaviour, of the informed consumer and conscient action and rule in society, that raised as a reaction to society of consumption and the consumerism. It is a movement that tries to form consumers more conscious, rational, informed and capable of taking action in a comsumption society, where the industrial/comercial groups make prevail their interests.


In order to reduce the comsumption impact on the enviroment and natural resources, it is necessary to develop a responsable and preventive behaviour adopted by the consumer when he uses or eliminates a rigth or service, in order to preserve the enviroment (ecocomsumption). The ecoconsumer must obtain information on a composition of the products he uses, in order to decide what or which products offer less risc over the enviroment, that can be recycled or don't became disused rapidly.
