Jackson’s will filed, funeral details sketchy
However more we write about Jackson,
information about his 50 years of
eventful life would not be revealed totally. It is stated in the press that he has died with 500 million debts on his shoulder, which would not be problem to clear off if the
information about his will is true.
The will that he authenticated with his signature in 2002 has been filed in a Los Angeles court. The multimillion dollars estate that he created has been given to Jackson Family Trust. This means, the benefits will go to his three children, mother, and an unnamed trust.
His mother Katherine Jackson will be the guardian of his three children Prince Michael I, 12 – Paris Michael Katherine, 11 – Prince Michael II, 7. He further stated, if his mother were unable to look after the children, then the responsibility of guardian would go to his pop star friend Diana Ross. Jackson also stated in his will, “I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife Debroah Rowe Jackson.” The co-executors of the will are John Branca, a long time Jackson Counsel, John McClain, Music Industry Executive, and Barry Siegel, Accountant, but due to resignation of Siegel as co-executors in 2003, now only Branca and McClain will be co-executors.
According to the information available from reliable sources, Jackson is part owner of Beatles Music Catalogue, and his own music company that retains the rights to some of his music. Although he has a debt of 500 million dollars, his estimated fortune after his tragic death is to the tune of 1 billion dollars. This value could rise with the passing time because of his posthumous popularity will grow as was the case of Elvis Presley.
Regarding his funeral, it is not yet fully clear where his last rites would be performed. As per Los Angeles Times, his body will not be cremated at his Neverland Ranch due to legal regulations. Jackson’s family has not decided yet where they would go finally for the burial, informed Miguel Luevano, California Highway Patrol spokesperson. According to the Times, the memorial service may be conducted in Staples Centre arena, Los Angeles, confirmation for which was not available.
