Case analysis method is often used in teaching multi-disciplinary courses. This method exposes
students to the real life situation in business, which involves the application of management, finance, human resource management and marketing knowledge. It helps in bridging the gap between theory and practice. This article attempts to discuss the
results of a study on 309 students on the effectiveness of using case analysis method in teaching strategicmanagement course. In addition, this paper explores how far case analysis method helps students to apply the theories and principles learned in other courses, the experience gained by the students and also explores the influence of demography factors on students'' perception towards case study method. The results showed that case analysis method was effective in helping students applying theories and principles in various
Courses that they learned. Furthermore, students'' academic performance, academic major and academic qualification had significant impact on students'' perception towards case analysis method. We hope that the results of this study will help to provide suggestions and ideas in improving the use of case analysis in addition to stressing the needs for case writing in relation to the Malaysian business scene for the use of local students.
