Did you ever realize when you took a flight in a big plane, that much of the time you were flying
on automic pilot? Did you know that a 747 even lands automatically?
Once a plane has taken off, the pilot puts it on course to fly to a certain destination, let''s say from Moresby to Hagen. On the instrument panel of his plane are electronic signals that tell him how far away Hagen is and how many minutes it will take him to get there... and both these keep ticking away as the plane flies on.
Of course the plane also has radar to see through clouds...It flies on a radio beam and another instrument will tell the pilot if a strong sidewind is blowing off course, and what he has to do to correct it...The entire plane can fly automatically, and the pilot can actually get up and walk around...He does not have to see the ground at all...That palne will fly directly to Hagen, and it can be directed safely right down through the clouds and find the Kagamuga airstrip.
The
automatic pilot is a good example of the
Holy Spirit guiding us from within...or guiding the Church, as He promised He would.
Any pilot in flight follows any
instructions from the control tower, under whose guidance he always is. Follow instructions from yours...within you. He is always on duty.
