A child starts its life by recognising things arround it, like mother, father and other similar type humans followed by lots of countless things arround it. then he/she starts to differentiate between things and to imitate the sounds and actions, like walking, during this process he crawls, walks on four and tries to walk by holding things and finally walks along with his first cake cut to celebrate his first birthday.
After this, is the important stage for every parent to concentrate and watch their child grow, with every movement of his/her. thsi is where every member of the family is supposed to take care of their words used, the way they speak, their body language, gestures. because the child''s family members are the one who are going to be the childs role models, from whom he/she tries to learn.
So it is true that, the school, for every child in the world, starts at home, which is a very important stage of his/her life.
Now comes the next, very important, job to be done by the parents to their child, "selecting the school". some times we parents, usually who are in the process of settling in life, especially fathers, will be busy concentrating in our official work and when the time comes to look for a school to our child, we forget to take time and to sit together to discuss about things like what our child is good at, like recognising colors, grasping powern etc.. These are the things which help us to find a suitable school for the child. we should make ourselves free from our routine works and browse through the net, go arround the city, meet people, who already have experience about such things, because choosing a good school in the begining itself is very important.
fore most is the Unnecessary Changing of schools, this shouold be avoided as much as possible. this disturbs the child very much, because of frequent change in environment, teaching methods and the most important, changing friends frequently. So we should look for such a school which has atleast till 12th grade.
secondly the
fee structure, which is very high, out of limit, for no reasons. so look for a school with a moderate fee along with good education. You should again browse, meet a friend whose child is already studying there, if not go staraight to the school itself and ask for the full fee structure (there should not be any added figures afterwards).
Now another important thing is the distance. The child shouldn''t feel tiered after coming from the school and he/she should find time to relaxe and spend with the family.
The last, but not the least, is the quality of education, which is a very important catagory to consider. because many of us neglect this, when all the above are satisfied. but the problem arises later in the process of their schooling. We should look for the type of education like
montessory(which is where the child is taught with less presure and in a very playfull manner) and we should see weather its got the type of education, like CBSE, ICSE or Stae level, which we want. if this is not taken care of in the begining itself, we sure are going to have lots of problem and the time will come, even to change the school itself. this, as said above, will lead to lots of disturbances for the child.
Not only the education but there should be proper sports to children with sufficient play area, which is almost neglected by many school authorities. chidren should have enough place to play and there should be regular sports day. it should have lots of
extra curricular activities like swimming, foot ball, basket ball, cricket to name some and also some indoor games like chess, carrom and badminton, etc., apart from regular curricular activities.
The
canteen is also very important.That is where the children learn to have junk foods, if it doesn''t concentrate on type of food thpare and this is the place from where the children have more chances of getting
bacterial and
viral diseases. so it should be maintained as per the norms fixed by the educational and government authorities.
