This is plus a summary of the series that I composed with the objective to leave in systemize form the main notes of my lessons
in a Brazilian University. This summary is indicated to all the readers of the Shvoong, in special to my pupils of already related University, which I wait sincerely that they like plus this text and they can see in it a so great utility how much the one who I imagined that it had when was created. Giving continuity to the notes indicated in the previous summary on Antonio Gramsci (to see the summary: Antonio Gramsci and the Sociology of the Education, published here exactly in shvoong), I will go to look for to bring some elements so that it is possible to understand which the paper of the Education (and mainly of the school) in the Social Theory (revolutionary) of Antonio Gramsci.
In relation to the revolutionary project of Gramsci as a whole, is to possíveldizer that all it places itself in the cultural and ideological dimension. As Gramsci he is a marxist thinker, it goes to leave of the principle that this same
revolution being cultural, will go to happen from concrete elements of the reality. Thus, this project of cultural revolution in which the diligent classroom would assume the control of the society occurs supported in two supports: 1) The organic
intellectual (which already I detailed the action in the previous summary); 2) The unitária school. We will now go to analyze the paper of the unitária school in this process of cultural revolution. Gramsci understood that the education, especially the pertaining to school education had a basic paper in the construction of the consensuses of opinions, forms to think and to act gifts in the occidental cultures. On the basis of its studies of philosophy, the author perceived that the school created the religious habits, of love the family, respect to the native land, and the proper notion of citizenship in a society. Had to this, he goes to consider that the school is an instrument of social transformation that can lead the masses to the cultural revolution for intended it. But as this if he would give? In the unitária school a different educative process of that one observed in the schools of its time would occur. In this direction it fits to indicate that Gramsci considered that the school worked the contents in it gifts in two directions: ) Eliminating the separation between intellectual work and manual work: what a resume would be possible when existing that privileged me in such a way “classic” the pertaining to school ´terias (mathematical, sciences, history…) how much on contents to the preparation for the work, thus reducing (9segundo it) the cultural distances between the valuation of the intellectual work and the valuation of the manual work; b) Working the dimension politics of the society: as one of the objectives of this school it would be of that all had one same culture, independently of its social origin (and in this direction it must be detached that the author considered a state school, public and gratuitous, however obligator to all). With this, having the school contents on politicians to the idea of cultural revolution, for intermediary of it the masses would go transforming its culture, as well as in the proper school would be formed the responsible organic intellectuals for leading the revolutionary process. Had to these factors, it is possible to affirm that the proposal of school of Gramsci is simultaneously only unitária e. It is only of the point of view of the people whom they would frequent it, which would be of the social classrooms, and is unitária of the point of view of the knowledge in transmitted it, which does not make plus a separation enters the formation for the work and the classic intellectual formation. Finally, it is possible to say then that when forming organic intellectuals and eliminating idéi of a difference of value between the diligent classrooms (intellectual and diligent manuals) the unitária school would be the central element in the Revolutionary Social Theory of Antonio Gramsci.
