As a former
member of the
faculty of Social Sciences I now find it a great
thrill to be on the National Express Bus to London and to receive a deal of recognition as a former member of the Faculty of Social Science here in Southampton.
In fact the years have sped by and the whole secrecy business rather took hold of my imagination and even though my friend The Engineer said that he would always remember me as British Intelligence I wasnt convinced and told him a story I head on the radio the other
day about Pam Ayres the
best selling poet who has claimed that she is British Intelligence and he poo pooed this notion and said ......... nonsense! You are!
I pondered upon his words and tidied up some of my poems to the extent that
in terms of presentation they are perfect including brushing up on my
accent ... its my Sunday best accent and it looks as if if has won the
day in speaking class .... wow!
