Trying as I do to keep up to date in
International Relations I avoid the
swear words of some of the more modern writers and take note that a lot of people are not quite as clean in terms of
writing as I am - and use frequently swear words in their papers, books, plays, and other writings.
It can cause offence but some are critical if its an international readership one seeks that they may as foreign readers and non speakers of English get hold of the wrong end of the stick and use a swear word because it is plastered over everything they see and learn in the English language. This is evident in film, media studies and in modern writing ... its not
unusual to see the four letter word on the best seller list and its not up to me to advertise these writers.
I was invited today to comment on how Rock Me a
book of poems could fit into the
Social Sciences category and I felt that it could find a place under the sub category of International Relations as there would be no excuse for swear words or
mistakes as Rock Me is free of both swear words and mistakes .. I discussed at length for several hours the technical aspects at my recent Book Signing in London - of my writing of poems and why I chose to do it thus .... so welcome
Rock Me to the Social Sciences/International Relations Genre ... great stuff !!!!
