My impression about United States of America--2
There must be some basics, fundamentals on which America has overgrown and has played as a leading Nation in most of the areas. In my pursuit to find the same, I tried to read from behavior of individuals traveling India. Most were identified to be very happy about civil liberties-they enjoy, clean air, greenery, fair practices in business and over and above –identification with a society which is considered super. To me-standard of living, is a reasonable motivation for identification. Peaceful, secure, disciplined life pattern, recognition for contribution are enough. But still it was difficult to find philosophical background -the origin of toady’s` status of United States of America. My attempt was to find out-
what values American Society, its People those democratic practices, infused, values got established. Merits and Value system ultimately prevail in all spheres of life. Some of very interesting but vital variables- which were understood and American Society nurtured them well seem identified.
Evolving America as
an undisturbed Nation as a primary step seems to have contributed a lot.
Keeping the country in isolation for a cause of development seems logical and most evolving Societies have followed this.
Although continue to be in isolation is a hard path in today’s world, yet it is imperative.
Primarily, Americans believed in
Peace and not expanding their power like Western/Europeans did.
Equipping for
self defense and not for dominance was thumb rule for a long time. Even today- this school of thought governs political battles in America.
One thought promulgated by Politicians in early days of 19th Century-was – Victory should not be used for National Gain. Because-it will cultivate resentment which can perpetually harm. This thought was not accepted well, but it did affect political processes in international affairs.
Even today-the variable has its merits and is universal in its nature. To continue
