Is India truly Independent? We must first answer this question to ourselves and then think of celebrating INDEPENDENCE
DAY.
A country, which lacks basic amenities like infrastructure, food and ‘a roof over one’s head’, does not make me proud to be an Indian! Where politics is sheer shopping spree, where leaders promote communalism and where humanity has perished, where women still fight for their basic rights, I do not even wish to remember that 15th August is round the corner.
This morning while walking I saw a guard did not pick up a bicycle, which fell on the ground because he had to be in the good books of his ‘Honda-City master’.
While rushing through daily news I read, ‘Even Gods Cannot Help India’. Well, these statements sound dramatic which reminds me of the film ‘RANG DE BASANTI’ but we humans simply love ourselves a lot!
We Indians should realise our duties towards humanity and our country. Then the day will not be far that I will be look forward to 15th August every year.
