The Perception of People Regarding the American Election and Presidential Candidates in Pakistan
Abstract
The people in Pakistan are keen and interested in American politics as there are major concern of them regarding the American foreign policy and its war against terrorism which have devastating effect in the country regarding the economy which is shattered and especially the normal life which has been completely disrupted due to suicide attacks across the country .the common man has suffered a lot and therefore they are very much interested in American elections because they are awaiting for some change in American foreign policy towards Pakistan and Afghanistan .in this context we had a survey in the comsats university campus which is in northwestern province of Pakistan the survey was conducted on campus in various departments and in students from various backgrounds that include the different provinces,caste,religion,culture,traditions,languages.this research was conducted in order to know that how much people are familiar with American election and presidential candidates running for 2008.Especially the American presidential candidate
Ron Paul. Because of its foreign policy which favors the Muslim world
Introduction
The American presidential election is one of the most important democratic election in the world because of it’s globalize politics and economy and the dependency of many states of the world the situation here in Pakistan is not different as the capital Islamabad has its eye on the campaign and candidates same in the tribal and unrest regions of the country where militancy has deep effect on the normal lives of the people and every one is awaiting for some change that is American foreign policy which mostly Pakistani sees as hostile and unfriendly towards them in this context we need to know the candidate which is famous in minority group of religious people or the majority one and its familiarity to conduct the survey we have taken the Comsats Institute of Information and Technology first of all we need to know the American presidential parties which are listed below:

In order to know that how much people are familiar with American presidential candidate barrack obama, mccain. , but a brief questionare was condcuted in which three candidate names where written barack obama ,john maccain.and ron paul,the maximum about 97%were familiar with mccain and obamaas compare to ron paul only .01% were familiar with american presidential candidate ron paul this was most amazing and shocking result.
