History has shown that the relationship between USA and Asia began with the interests of trade, economy, and religion. US invlolvement in the Philiphine war has allowed a chance of opening the expansive program of US Navy in Asia. Further, accompanying the devolopment of trade and investment, USA has grown as the main force in Asian and Pacific area. Regarding the content of the book, it is focused on US foreign affair on Asia. However, the book also deals with Pacific region. The Author tells about the background and evolution of US relationship with Asia - Pacific, namely: China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, South Eastern Asia, Central Asia, and South Asia. In balanced portion, the author discusses the strength and weakness US relationship with Asia. He also predicts the further US role as the main force in Asia and Pacific regions. He also recommends that US increase close relationship with Asian countries. The book also presents some problems that have influenced US degrading significance in recent years, especially the scandal of Iraqi war.
