LIFE STRESS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FUNCTIONING
It has not been long after the relationship between
stressful events and physical illness was confirmed, researchers began looking at the relationship between stressful events and psychological or emotional distress. Physical illness has been found to result if a sufficient amount of stress is present, regardless of whether that stress is associated with positive or negative life events, psychological illness seems to be associated with stress caused by undesirable life stress situations. The undesirable stressful events can be matched by stressful events such as arguments with a spouse, marital separation, and death, even those who have attempted suicide and with Schizophrenics.

What is the one thing that people have in common? Whether it is sports, economics, religion, politics, recreation, employment, unemployment, and bias attitudes, the one link that engulfs us all. It is fearless, it is colorblind, and has no boundaries. It does not separate our genders or beliefs. It is a monopoly of the mind. This killer is BAD with a capital “B.”
Stress is a silent killer and governs us all whether we are rich, poor, male or female.
We need to modify our over reactions to situations. Rather than seeing situations as psychologically or physically treating and thereby activating our sympathetic nervous system, we need to activate our parasympathetic nervous system that part which helps to lower physiological arousal.
People do not realize it, but stress is a very natural and important part of our life. Without stress, there would be no life at all. We need stress. Our bodies are designed to react to different types of stress. Eustress (distress) help keep us alert, motivates us to face challenges, and drives us to solve problems. These low levels of stress are manageable and can be thought of as necessary and normal stimulations.
Welcome to the real world America! Where dedication, too much kindness, big bright smiles, drinking a bit too much, cigarette smoking, pill popping, nail biting, paranoia, heart attack and death and come from big bad stress with its split personality.
I introduce to you America, "The Diary of A Mind Killer” STRESS.
