observations which follow are based on 7 years of my very own school life. The observations that i have been carrying out upon my teachers without their knowledge. The main aim of these Observations are to deduct whether the teachers way of regarding the
student on his behavior and academic performances differ if the student is in verbal
friendly contact with the
teacher. Experiment Number OneThe Smile TestThe
subject, the student is always greeting the teacher with a smile and always is happy and smiling at the teacher. Each day as the teacher arrives to class the subject smiles and greets in a friendly manner and performs as thus all throughout the 35 minute class. Also if during the day, the subject meets with the teacher, the subjects reacts in the same way. The subject is seen to
perform well and the teacher is happy with the subject as the subject is ultra friendly, at the end of the school year, the teacher''s remark on the subjects report is that "the student is a friendly warm kid, always smiling he works hard to gain his grades and is always very open and nice" It is furthermore noted that the subject is the favorite kid in the entire class for the teacher even thought there is other students who perform much better academically. Thus the first experiment proves that when the subject is seen friendly and highly sociable, he in turn gets much better response from the surrounding then the rest of the students. The following test was conducted in a 6 hours session school, with only 35 minutes per day with the written teacher. The research was carried out over a span of one school year.
