With the alarming increase in statistics of children who are in or near the autism spectrum, people are looking for answers
to the big questions about the care and future of suck children.  Asperger''s Syndrome, or AS as its called in socio-psychological circles is a type of high functioning autism where children may enjoy certain high capabilities, but have distinct socialization and learning disabilities.  This book touches on 13 issues that face these children everyday of their adolescent lives.  Richard Howlin sees AS children as having poor communication skills, high vocabulary, and intense interests and pursuits. Gutstein of the USA explores the friendships of AS teens.(5) Marc and Liane Willey of the USA deal with Occupational Therapy for AS adolescents.(6) Dennis Debbaudt handles safety issues adolescents with AS(7) Liane Holliday Willey discusses the experience of the rough weather season of  thunder in the life of an "Aspie" as she calls such.(8) Rebeccah Moyes of the USA settles into the diagnosis of an AS child.(9) Jacqui Jackson of the UK deals with the domino effect in families and parenting.(10) Deann Foley of the USA looks at being innovative in finding help for AS kids.(11) Lise Piles of Australia deals with the education of the AS student.(12) Steven M. Shore of the USA delves into the need for progress in interaction and mutual understanding for teens on the Autism Spectrum.(13) Mike Stanton of the UK looks into the question of being one''s self.As Luke Jackson, the 14 year old author of the forward of this book said, each of these people offer a perspective that is unique to that individual as it should be, since the scope of the issues of AS are as individual as the teens who have AS.
