Thinking positive is not an isolated act. It is rather a habit that engulfs us with positive values inducing growth, expansion, and success in us. We may call it a mental attitude. From the expectations of good and favorable results, we direct our thinking to the upbeat mode, which gives us joy, health, peace, and success; that is positive thinking. In plain words it can be said that for any issue irrespective of its nature, we should not concede defeat in advance. Our performance, action or reaction all depend on our thinking. If we think we will perform better, the chances of performing better are more than the reverse. This thinking of better performance motivates us to perform better and is known as positive thinking. At the end it may comes out that our performance was not good due to some valid reasons like lack of knowledge, inadequate practice…but that will not demoralize us. We will rather come to know the short fall of our failure as we were positive about our attitude.
Whatever is said about positive thinking, it is absolutely difficult to define it like the laws of physics. Many people do not have any belief on positive thinking; some discard it as sheer nonsense. People who believe it do not exactly know how to extract valuable outcome from it. In spite of yes and no groups this subject is getting popularity because of articles, books, news reports, lectures, and courses.
Through positive thinking we can make ourselves ready for an event like interview, debate, group discussion, personal meetings, and even attending a social function. Had it been otherwise, then we would not have got success in spite of being capable of doing better. Not only outside professional events, our day to day activities too made us stress free with positive thinking. Our expectations from each act whether in group or alone never become fulfilled all the time. In situations, where our expectations are not achieved, we could easily accept the result without regret retaining calmness and cheerfulness.
With persistent positive thinking our mental attitude changes to seeing all good, feeling all good, and saying all good, which in turn transforms us ever cheerful and peaceful. Every human being has a subconscious effect on another human being on meeting each other. This happens through thought transference, body language, and feelings. Sense organs detect the aura on each other and get affected routinely. We do experience bad feelings after meeting someone or good feelings on meeting some other person. This happens due to our aura, and that depends on many factors, and one of these important factors is positive mental attitude.
On the contrary, negative thinking drives us to make mistake, commit wrong, and meet failure. Both are contagious in nature. Whichever is followed becomes a practice, and subsequently one need not think about positive or negative thinking at needed time.
Frequent success, achievements, and accomplishments are attainable through positive thinking; it also helps us in healing our bodily ailments. The energy generates through positive thinking is enormous. When in positive mood, every word we utter acts as a stimulus helping our body and mind remain in synchronization. The big question is how can we maintain good mood persistently? As we accept the fact that power of thoughts shapes our lives, which happens subconsciously can be made a conscious one. For this one has to take a resolve of becoming positive. The person needs to think approvingly, and use positive words consistently when talking with others. Steadily the mind will become aware of any negative thought that creeps in and immediately that will be replaced by a positive one. This will continue for sometime in the beginning, and in due course the mind will be tuned to have only positive thoughts. There may be inner resistance to replace the negative thought initially that has to be overcome by the will thinking that it is a resolve to be fulfilled for the betterment of the self. The moot point is to believe that positive thinking can bring success, peace, and happiness consistently.
One has to be affirmative in nature, and practice of seeing only good in everything thing that come across in day to day life. It is possible to have something worth enjoying even from the event, person, thing not liked by someone.
