Changes are at every where, at home at work place, at society and even at World. One has to learn art " How to cope with Change " ?
It is true that nothing is permanent only Change is permanent. It is true because way back Man was uncivilized. He had no language, no society and no ideology. He lived in Caves and eat fruits and uncooked flesh.
But things kept on changing and he developed language to communicate, developed methods of agriculture, invented fire to cook an to generate light. This stage was also not permanent and Man changed further. When the era of Modern Man started he became social, better educated and enjoyed better life. Villages & towns came in to existence.
He started trade and mass production. Now he enjoyed personal, economic and social life. He had house to live, clothes to wear and delicious food to satisfy hunger. He still kept on changing and ultimately We , We are the Men of Twenty First Century.
Changes taking place round us every day. Willingly or unwillingly we have to respond them. Our response can be positive or negative but they definitely influence us. Man is known as Super animal because he has brain to understand, analyze and suitably react to Change.
Their were other animals also who were giants like Dinosaurs, but they were unable to cope with changed and ultimately perished. One has to accept it that nothing will continue but Changes will continue and to become successful one has to learn Change Management.
In 1970’s, Alvin Toffler in his famous book “ Future Shock ” imagined too much about the future. At that time it was almost funny but not it is a reality. There are two factors responsible for Change. The first is our needs and second natural changes around us.
For an example man was not safe at cave so he built huts and than further developed skills of architecture.
Similarly seasons which are controlled by nature compelled him to discover newer and better methods of living. “ Needs are mother of all inventions ”so as per need Man innovated various tools and techniques. Some inventions are spontaneous too. Neuton by chance developed the concept of “ Gravitational Force ” when he saw an apple falling down.
Such spontaneous innovations may be useful or harmful too. Automobiles are meant for quick and comfortable journey but they lead to accidents and air pollution too. Nuclear fusion and nuclear fission are methods to produce energy for constructive works but at this technology is destructive when used for atomic bomb.
We have to Innovate, we have to develop and we have to Change ourselves whether it is at personal level or at family level, whether it is at social level or at professional level, we have to adjust and change ourselves as per surroundings. This will help us not only to survive but also to get best possible.
Every coin has two faces. We should go for Change but at the same time we should also evaluate its advantages and disadvantages. Management persons have various techniques such as SWOT but even layman can go for +ves and –ves.
Few decades back Computers had limited role and existence but now it has become “Worldwide”. At Shop, Departmental Store, Hotel, School, Station, Hospital every where it has become almost impossible to avoid it. But “ Excess every thing is bad ”, it also have negative impacts. It increased unemployment and reduced employment opportunities for middleman and semi literate persons.
Even it has disturbed our personal and social life also. According to a survey citizens of developed nations spend about three hours a day with computers while citizens of developing countries are spending about four hours a day. Excess uses of computers may make a person introvert, self centered and imaginary. He or she will also face health problems particularly related to spine, vision and digestive system.
In coming years entire scenario will be different - - - -
