INTERNATIONAL
WOMEN''S MENTAL HEALTH
When we listens a word woman, a beautiful image came in mind, symbol of love, passion, motherhood and who sacrifices her every thing for her family. Every religion gives special place to women even though woman is facing problems from the beginning of this world.
As globalization bring the nations closer it highlights those
issues which were not known to every one in the past people thought that only Asian women are facing problems but now women are facing so many problems all over the world e.g. Health problems, education, violence at home and at streets, verbally physically and mentally harassment through different acts, honor killing, poverty, war effects, modernization, discrimination, prostitution, female smuggling, rapes which ruined many lives, injustice are common. When women face such problems she become psychiatric and psychosomatic patient. When she can not sher her feelings with any one because of religious, cultural and domestic restrictions she become hysteric. In Asia family take such women to religious practionars and faith healears, they beat the women and many times women are rapped from such faith healers.
OBJECTIVES of the paper are
1- to realize and bring in front that more or less women issues are same all over the world only the cultural vales, race and religion made some differences.
2- To bring awareness among people how multiple forms of violence by family members, faith healers, strangers, state agents, domestic abuse including spousal murder and being burned, disfigured with acid, custodial abuse and torture influence women not only physically it affects at her mental health also. It transfers from generation to generation.
3- why do men abuse their wives will be discussed.
4- to discuss health issues and discrimination among male and female child in Asia.( Pakistan)
All above-mentioned issues affects at women differently. Sometimes women did not want to bring their personal matters in front because of fear, public gossip, insecurity, hopelessness, they think no one will help them, lose their privacy and they fear the abuser will become more hostile when negative publicity gets back to them.Such matters make her psychiatric patient. Awareness about all women issues should be started from child hood and at teen age mothers can help their daughters but how? If mother is also the victim how she can help her innocent daughter. Suggestions would be scussed at the end of the paper, how community education, religious atmosphere and religious sermons, social workers, media, counseling, police and psychiatrists can bring change and awareness among the people and women. If steps are taken we can bring change in societies.
