This book aims to make young people interested enough to pursue philately.  It encourages them to widen their horizon of
knowledge as each stamp can be identified with people, places, events and other subjects.  The stamps can be related to themes which include history, geography animals and achievements of mankind.  The images in this book encourages the reader to pursue stamp collection as an interesting, serious, and enjoyable hobby.  The book deals with the history of stamp collection, its scope and the origin of the term.  It farther highlights the history and the improtance attached to each stamp.  The book involves chapters like "Evolution of stamps", "Postal history of India", "Starting a stamp collection", Maintainence of stamps", and many other interesting chapters.
The book has numerous illustrations in the form of photographs of exotic stamps.
As one goes through this book one cannot help but think very seriously about starting a stamp collection as a serious and enjoyable and knowledgeable hobby.
