Since the last two decades of the twentieth century, according to the author, the company moved to live deep transformations caused especially by the huge innovation that began to emerge. Great hopes were placed in new technologies and the information society, especially by entrepreneurs, excited by the growth that they provided. Seen from this perspective, these innovations enabled monumental changes that happen in society, considering that the rigidity and stagnation are fierce enemies of freedom. However, the author discusses, this is only half the chances of human life in order that issues of importance remained intact, and the unbridled rise in unemployment which crystallized world and the number of people living well below the poverty . Moreover, swell the emotional instability of the majority of the population due to the fear that took account of individuals to become also excluded and suffer loss or reduction of purchasing power. And all this has affected in particular the least developed world, since it does not have the resources to prevent the growth of the index of people who are starving, who are exposed to different kinds of diseases due to low physical resistance and by presenting live in places that do not have the minimum and essential health infrastructure. The most serious, however, is that such problems do not seem to be resolved, since there is some signal from the governments of first world countries to share their wealth with other people miserable others. It is precisely the selfishness and superprotecionismo the main factors responsible for what the author defines as modern social conflict, ie the innovations provided the potential increase in wealth of those who had much and, moreover, the explosion of poverty for most of the world population.
For this reason, it has increased the general outcry and demands that are made to appropriate and necessary justice, since there can be no freedom to prosperity not respect the ideals of citizenship. The author considers that the policy of freedom must go hand in hand with the policy of living with the conflict, always bearing in mind that prosperity and citizenship have the same weight in the balance, so that everyone can have better chances in life. However, this conflict needs to be tamed by institutions, not through revolution, but by the change of strategies, understanding that being modern does not mean and does not require the abandonment of certain values and responsibilities essential to the delivery of both the policy of freedom of the improving the human condition today. Progress can occur without pain, and also should not be seen as a common effort to remove the borders of scarcity. This is a battle that all groups should be involved, as claimed to the establishment of individual rights and collective as well as the necessary and urgent redistribution of property, currently limited and focused only on a small portion of the total population favored world .
