The need of the
hour is to find an alternative fuel as the prices of petroleum products are
increasing day by day. Moreover, oil
producing countries are reluctant to increase production. No one is certain about the oil reserve,
which will last longer to meet the increased demands from all over the
world.
The best option is
to find an alternative fuel. In spite of
initial enthusiasm, the response is, unfortunately, far from expectations. It’s
essential to encourage vehicle manufacturers to switch over to electric engine
in stead of petrol engines. This will help to reduce
petroleum consumption progressively. However, if we continue to encourage petrol
operated vehicles, the consumption will increase manifold and import
