Handle Instant Gangsterism

Article Summary   by:nazslumber85     Original Author: DATUK T. MURUGIAH

Cases of murder cosmetics tycoon Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya along with three others have really opened the eyes of Malaysians that there is a group of people who are willing to do anything outside the boundaries of humanity just to earn money the easy way.

However, the effects and consequences of the killing has sparked some confusion when the dispersed system service (SMS) and Internet messages that ask for action to be taken to get revenge. But the result of police action has managed to quickly this from happening.

Next Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister His Excellency T. MURUGIAH has given a statement calling for gangsterism activities within the Indian community must be addressed immediately. His statements are made based on reports from the Selangor MIC Youth chief M. Shanker Raj Ayenger to the claim in NSW only in the first four months of this year there were 300 Indian youth have been detained under the Restricted Residence Act and jailed at the Simpang Renggam.

"This 300 figure is a big number for just eight per cent of India in this country. This is a big concern for us because if the increasingly large numbers, it will threaten the safety and harmony. We do not want the racial harmony that is achieved in this country will be surprised by the number of gangsters in the Indian community, "said the reporter Murugiah HAFIZAHRIL HAMID Mingguan Malaysia during a meeting last Friday at his office in Putrajaya.

WEEKLY: Why is the problem of gangsterism among India happen?

MURUGIAH: To me, why gangsterism among the Indians is because too many movies and TV series that aired on an Indian pay television. For me it is high time for these negative elements to be addressed. Addition of students in secondary schools should be focused. They are probably more vulnerable because of mixing with students in various schools. Schools to focus on gangsterism because they come from various schools and backgrounds. If they had mixed so glad to get caught up in criminal activities. But I understand that the police put their officer rank of inspector and as adoptive father in schools. They are assigned to monitor progress in school. However, to ensure that the Indians were not involved in gangsterism they need to be educated from primary school.

However, I request that the Indian community together and sit at my table in addressing the problem of gangsterism. This is better than just criticize them and worsen the government for not doing anything. In fact the government has made every effort in various aspects such as providing job opportunities and so forth.

If immigrants from Bangladesh and Indonesia could come here and work and live comfortably why local people could not just get a job and live comfortably. But due to greed and want to make easy work which is why there are so involved in gangsterism. They want to get involved as a short gain without having to bother working. As we saw in the murder of Datuk Sosilawati and three friends, all because of money. They are looking for money, but not legally, but illegal. What has happened is something that is not acceptable and the Indian community strongly condemned this atrocity
