POWER
ASSERTIVE RAPIST
A power assertive rapist is one who considers it his right
and normally has little on no emotions for the
victims’ feelings.
His psychological approach is not necessarily about power; rather he
has diminished care and respect for the victims feeling. They have
been statistically found to be responsible for a greater majority of
the

The characteristics of a power assertive rapist are normally
a macho athlete and tend to take advantages of most date rapes. There
life style is public and socialization is clubbing, thereafter he
would pick on a lady who he deems as ether being alone or lonely. He
may thus invite the lady for a free ride home after the bar or
sometimes to his place. On other occasions he may impersonate a
repair man or policemen just to get entry into their private
resident. During the ordeal they tend to be aggressive
physically forceful to subdue the victim. They will also use extremely abusive
and obscene language. They also commonly tend to physically assault
by punches and slaps and may even take out a threatening weapon,
though they have no motive to kill the victims.

On the do’s in the event of a power assertive rape ordeal,
if one feels confident of physically fighting or talking your way
out, then they can go ahead after carefully assessing the situation.
However if one assesses the scenario and finds its more dangerous
then it is better not to attempt to avert more physical harm. The
rapist here doesn’t usually get moved by begging or cries. And if
the victim is deciding on resisting then they must be successful by
fighting and screaming hard to get free. (McCabe

The prevention of such rapist includes avoiding clubbing or
lonely bars late in the night. Also avoid taking passenger lift from
stranger who you have just met on the first outing. Do not allow
suspicious looking policemen or repair men into private residents.
Above all try and be in a familiar company at clubs and bar to avoid
