Thousands of high school students especially of Grade 12 in the
region crowded the Center for Research and Technology Building to visit
the University Day Out Exhibition 2012 held by the Student Family of
Banten (22/1). IPB’s stand was crowded with visitors. Not a few students
who stopped by the stand were amazed when they were introduced to a
variety of innovative products of IPB.
Various products on the display were for example herbal drinks such as
temulawak (a kind of ginger), sacang, ginger, rosella tea, cosmetics
products such as aromatic soaps, massage oil, as well as agricultural
educative dolls "Horta". Crystal guava was also presented, an innovative
product of IPB in collaboration with ICDF of Taiwan.
Not a few students visiting exhibition are interested to be students of
IPB. For example, Anggis Khairunisa of SMA 1 Cilegon wants to enter the
Faculty of Agricultural Technology of IPB.
Another is Deanisa of SMAN 1 Rangkas, who without mentioning which
Department she is interested in confidently says that she will soon come
to IPB campus to become a new candidate of IPB students.
Furthermore, the students belonging to the Region Student Organization
(Omda) IPB was so attractive and communicative in responding to the
questions from younger students at the exhibition. They were very
pleased to get a souvenir after they answered the questions forwarded by
Omda IPB. (Mtd)
