Manila flood is caused by a very long period rain which lead dams to no choice but to open the flood way gates that cause flood and lose worth millions of pesos to infrastructure and business. About 160 public schools in Metro Manila and nearby towns were being used as evacuation centers raising the possibility of a long vacation for students which leads them for another make-up classes and make-up projects just to adjust for the long period of no class.

UNIQLO is the No. 1 brand of fashion in Japan donate 1.5 Million to aid the flood victims in various part of the Luzon region including Manila. As a Filipino, I deeply thank UNIQLO for the sympathy to all Filipinos who were affected by the calamity. The donation will be made through SM Foundation which is the socio-civic arm of SM Group of Companies. I hope every flood victims will be reached by this charity and start a new life after the calamity.

UNIQLO has launched its first branch in SM Mall of Asia located at Pasay City, Philippines last June 15, 2012. Where more Filipino and Japanese citizen joint its opening ceremony. UNIQLO introduce its brand through its brand Ambassadors Chris Tiu a basketball icon in the Philippines, Chito Miranda the lead vocalist of Parokya ni Edgar, an alternative rock band, Nikki Gil a singer and brand endorser, and Iza Calzado, actress and also a brand endorser in the Philippines.
