No one can forget the character of Rose Calvert, played by Kate Winslet in the most in demand everlasting film in Hollywood, Titanic. The film that’s released in 1997 tells the story of romance between Rose Calvert and Jack Dawson (Leonardo Dicaprio), which end tragically with the sinking of the luxury cruise ship, Titanic. Their meeting started from Jack, a simple man, who won a ticket of Titanic’s first journey with his best friend. The meeting continued and became a romantic love story, even though Rose was engaged to a fellow nobleman and their relationship was opposed by his mother. At the end of the story, the Titanic ran aground because of hitting an iceberg. Their love came to an end with the death of Jack who sacrificed his life to save Rose.
One of the most interesting scenes and most memorable, was when Rose asked Jack to paint her in a naked body. Rose is lying on a sofa wearing a phenomenal necklace, Heart of the Ocean, while Jack was sitting down in front of Rose and painting her very seriously. Then, this painting sketch became a lasting legacy of the Titanic movie. The director, Jamec Cameron, sold the painting for 10,000 pounds or 140 million rupiah. The auction itself is conducted on Saturday and Sunday beginning this April in the United States by Premiere Props. Because the sketch was sold out, Kate stated that she is very happy.
