Jack White Turns Inventor on New Music Format

Article Summary   by:stefin
ª

Jack White has turned inventor for The Dead Weather's new single, 'Blue Blood Blues'

The Triple Decker Record has been designed and trademarked by Jack White. It is essentially a 12-inch version of the single embedded with a previously unreleased 7-inch vinyl, which can only be listened to once removed from inside the 12-inch record.

"It's one of the many mind games we like to play with you here at Third Man Records," White says in a video about the release, which can be seen below.

Also issued as a 7-inch single with a double cover and on a tri-colour vinyl, the limited edition Triple Decker Record is limited to 300 copies.

Only 300 copies have been made - a third of which are going on sale at a record store in Nashville, the rest will either be sold online or at various stores around the world.
