I have been to Istanbul in Turkey just 2 years ago and was surprised to see that there is snow in Turkey as well as here in the UK but as I am Far South we expect the weather to be mild at this time of year and I am referring to Christmas Eve. Surprisingly, the weather has not been mild and we have experienced snowfall and ice in streets and pavements plus closures of trains, buses, planes, airports and walkways too slippy to walk rather than tread carefully. So I am pleased to report that today the mild weather has descended upon us here in Southampton and we can walk easily around and about town so I will venture forth ... albeit with wisdom in my footsteps.
I received a Seasons Greetings this morning all the way from Istanbul Turkey from Mustafa Melek Plato and also Happy New Year for 2011 so I am grateful to receive felicitations and well wishes shere in the UK from my co writer in Istanbul Turkey on Christmas Eve. ... Thanks Mustafa!
