There is a lot of attention on Yahoo News about the Queen's visit to the Republic of Ireland which is a 4 day visit and apparently it is going ahead as planned and the British Monarch is visiting the Republic of Ireland and will arrive there this afternoon. There have been reported bomb threats in the Irish Republic but the ordinary people on the streets of Dublin are in a welcome mood and the visit is the first in 100 years of a British Monarch. The 85 Year Old Queen together with the Duke of Edinburgh will be laying wreaths at various Gardens of Remembrance .. in relation to the historical footings of the Irish Republic and the First World War known as World War 1. The Queen will pay a visit to Croke Park a place of note and the ITN blog also comment that this visit of The Queen to the Irish Republic is active during Mary McAleese's Presidency and that one of the major reasons for the visit is connected with a Peace Process and also the Irish Republic having abandoned its claim on Northern Ireland which still is held under the British flag and United Kingdom! The BBC Radio 3 Team have been broadcasting news of the Queen's historic 4 day visit to the Republic of Ireland and they too have commented on Bomb threats by dissidents who are held to blame for these bomb threats!
