National
Aviation Company Association of Indonesia (Indonesia National Air
Carrier Association / INACA) held Airlines Day 2012 (Indonesia Airlines
Forum Series).
The
international conference is expected to provide alternative solutions
in the aviation industry in anticipation of the high country.
INACA noted, the national aviation industry has developed rapidly at this time. Domestic passenger growth in 2010 reached 51,775,656 people and 60,039,293 in 2011 or a 15.96 percent growth.
Procurement
and rejuvenation of new aircraft, adding routes, as well as the
construction and development of the airport terminal, as well as
supporting infrastructure for the anticipated growth in passenger
traffic year-over-year increase.
"The
service and airport capacity is increasingly urgent for the enlarged
capacities. In 2010, passenger traffic at all airports PT Angkasa Pura
I, but only 49.2 million in 2011 to 56 million. So also at the airport
PT Angkasa Pura II, in 2009 only served 52, 5 million, but the 20 190 to 62.6 million.
What
measures should the aviation industry stakeholders with this condition,
we'll look for a solution, "said Henry Sihombing of the Secretariat
Airlines Day 2012 in Jakarta, today.
Airlines Day 2012 was held two days starting Tuesday (3/4) and Wednesday (4/4) at the Balai Kartini Jakarta. The News Media Holdings became the media partner of the event. The event was also supported by the Ministry of Transportation Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
According
INACA, the most important dealt with at this time is how to improve the
handling and procurement and service nyamana and safe while at the
airport or on the air.
Policies
and regulations on safety is one thing that is still a priority in
which the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operations Ministry
of Transportation has issued regulations flight safety and security of
Indonesia, in particular the safety of aircraft and customers with the
motto 3S +1 C, the safety, security , through compliance services.
On
the other hand, INACA see, procurement and construction of
infrastructure by the government through PT Angkasa Pura I and II have
also been initiated with the improvement of airports and ground handling
and passenger handling is getting better. But still it is less and needs to be improved.
Airport
management should work with the airline, including service providers
full service and low cost, hand in order to maximize service to service
users.
"Especially
going Asean Open Sky policy enactment in 2015, Indonesia as a big
country to be competitive in all lines when not to lag behind its
neighbors," said Henry.
Henry
also said, with an increasing number of fleet, maintenance and
procurement of new aircraft also play an important role to ensure the
operation and the fleet-worthy enough to handle the ever increasing
number of passenger numbers.
Similarly,
human resources (HR), both the regulator, the crew of the aircraft, and
airports, including air traffic control (ATC), is currently lacking in
quality and quantity with market needs, the new generation aircraft and
technology are increasingly sophisticated and technical.
Airlines
Day 2012 will conduct in-depth discussion of policy and regulation,
safety and security, infrastructure, investment, human resources
development and pilot, and passenger handling.
The
event is expected to become a means of dialogue and the synchronization
and harmonization of policies and actions that ultimately enables high
standards of service quality, safety and security, for the air transport
sector as well as supporting the Indonesian economy, especially the
success of the program Masterplan Economic Development Acceleration and
Expansion of Indonesia (MP3EI).
