Will David Cameron be the next Prime Minister after Tony Blair in some distant day
says /goodbye/ to the electorate: the Sunday Times has a follow on item ... electors are
telling all in the manner requested:
One gentleman is a retired Science Teacher: another is: a
Retired Local Government Lawyer/ and a History Teacher : they explain in great detail their voting habits! Our History Teacher is quoted as saying:
/As things stand, I would probably vote for him/ - the swing to the Convervatives perhaps much anticipated by the Sunday Times Newspapers!
Growing up in the 1950s the Teddy Boys were all the rage, and young men in particular wore tight trousers and had greasy hair styles with sticky fringes at the front! They were often seen as a threat at the local dance hall I went to at 16! I went, incidentally, with my chaperon and friends, and I returned home at a respectable hour! They would be excluded as their clothes were loud and their attitude violent! Today its the Girls turn:
The teddy girls were a long lost tribe and have been reinvented in The Sunday TImes thus:
Ken Russell - Film Director - has worked on this theme and as such offers a glimpse into lives of feisty young women who demanded an identity of their own! I still remember the Teddy Boys though had the edge on the girls! They were much more overtly presented.
Tessa Jowell - has separated from her husband: the sum quoted and argued about of
in the region of ¤350,000. - the gift money from the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi!
It seems a shame to make such a mess of the Culture Minister's family life! Still if you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen!
Recently I bought a DVD on a film made by director: Martin Scorsese entitled:
NO DIRECTION HOME BOB DYLAN.A Martin Scorsese Picture: It features certainly the American Idol Bob Dylan but also his singing colleague: Joan Baez: She is discussed at length in the Column:
A Life in the Day:
She is now 65 and lives in America! her latest live album is Bowery Songs and she plays at London's Barbican Theatre next Wednesday! She is featured at length on the BOB DYLAN DVD! She is filmed with Dylan many times: they make an entertaining and musical couple!
Favourite models are the order of the day and Naomi Campbell is featured on the front cover of STYLE: Naomi and the girls dress their favourite men! Everybody loves a lovely lady and every girl has her favourite GUY!
Wonderful photographs of The Michelangelo Code: I visited with my ex husband, many years ago - The Sistine Chapel - I found it a very spiritual experience but then I am an art lover.
