DEMOCRACY WITHOUT A HUMAN FACE

Democracy by one of the American Presidents, was purposefully defined to mean: "Government of the people, by the people and for the people"
This system been a legacy bequeathed to the world by the ancient Greece, turned to be a system of governance that has the greatest appeal to human values, more especially it concerns wealth creation and promotion of opportunities in divers parts of human endeavours. It is an embodiment of respect for the rights of citizens and thought on thier basic needs.
Anything outside the above propoundment is purely not a democracy, but a purported democracy that has a face and toga of a demon; where its operators choose to be sadistically self-servicing and insensitive to the needs of the people.
The writer of this piece would want us to understand on the prima facia that the road to a faceless democracy are:

a. massive rigging of votes
b. use of unwholesome strategies such as cash gifts to woo voters
c. and undue twisting of processes in nomination of candidates for
the elections.

Anywhere in the world, as it is here, where the wealth of a nation has been systematicaly mopped-up into private pockets, while the generality of the masses only hopelesly assume the profile of the proverbial waterside dwellers that are dying of thirst; has not heard of democracy talkless of wearing it as a system of government.
Our present government has failed us as both the first and second Repubics. For by inference from his write-up, we are free from military dictatorship but wallowing now in democratic dictatorship.

1. Where the real dividends of democracy has been pushed away and termed
roads construction and execution of infrastructural projects as a dividend
of democracy.
2, Where decision making processes have become militarised, with the
political lords of the government pushing out policies against the
collective will of the people.
3. Where the majority of the electorates have been disconneted from the
expected democratic principles.
4. Where there is sardonic removal of necessary subventions, hikes in
tariffs, incessant fuel price increases, systemic devaluation of national
currency, disempowerment of private sectors with infrastructural
deprivation to the abysmal disadvantages of the electorates.
5. Where the promotion of foreign interest and stripping of public owned
institutions through an ill-conceived privatisation scheme exist.
6. Where there abound a worrisome destruction of human capital - hired
assassines, ritual killers, and human trafficking.
7. Where the two indespensable factors that develop a nation - manpower
training and development and manpower utilization are handled with
reckless abandon, can vividly be seen to wear democracy without human
face.
8. Where fund deprivation and consequent neglect had made education and
health instutitions continually irrelevant to the populace.
9. Where government devotes resouces to lobby for the purchase of private
air-crafts and bullet-proof cars, rather than dolling out to the retirees their
gratuities and pension emoluments to enable them rest their weak bones
in retirement, after serving their father land meritoriously with their prime
