Today the press is full of the big show in America in relation to the 30 years
after and on from the death of Elvis Presley the King of Rock and Roll .. and there
is a big spread in the Guardian newspaper showing a show in Ormeau Belfast
where an entire house is painted iconically with Elvis images and Elvis
iconography ... to mark the 30 years on for the "King"
On a more serious note the results are out - of the Examinations today
which define your position in life at University - from today''s
newspaper you can decide which University Course you intend to
pursue and at 17 and 18 years old its a big decision to take alone so
its suggested by a lot of experts that you consult with your teachers,
parents and of course your friends ... you may in the future decide
you made the wrong choice and with greater insight would years
later have made a totally different choice ... but then life is a bit
like that ... "you pays your money and you makes your choice" so
to the well worn phrase is inserted to add a bit of humour to a very serious
subject.
Guardian readers beware ... there is a big section devoted to the
winner of the Lottery Angela Kelly
23, 40. 42. 43. 49, 2 and 6 added up to £35 million ... after
treating herself to a new dress and a manicure Britain''s lottery winner
Angela Kellly 40 years old separated from her husband is celebrating
her great success and is letting go with a bottle of champagne ..
her life as a postal worker on £21,000 will be greatly enhanced
by all this money she has won ... wasnt she lucky .. still it takes
all sorts.
