MUMBAI (INDIA): Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is ready to roll out his another most-awaited, rather controversial, Hindi feature film "Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag". The film, reportedly the remake of superhit Hindi film of 70s "Sholay", has been in the news for various reasons from the day one of its launching by the maverick director. In the beginning, the producers of the original film objected to RGV's decision to remake the film. Later, it was fight over the title and the names of characters. To avoid any legal hurdles in releasing the movie, Varma finally agreed to the settlement and changed the film's title from "Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay" to "Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag". He also changed the names of all the leading characters. But recently, when the film is ready to hit screens all over the country, RGV said in an interview that his film is a tribute to the original "Sholay" and not a remake of it. This statement has only added to the curiosity of his fans and critics also. The director has reportedly changed the entire story to the recent times. He promos of the films itself indicate that people are going to get something unexpected. After all, RGV would not have wasted his time in making the remake of the film, which has been watched by almost every Indian, more than once. Whatever be the controversy, one thing is sure that the film will attract audiences from all sections of the society. Even those, who had not liked the director's decision to remake the film, are eager to watch the film now, though their excuse is that they want to see what 'unpredictable' filmmaker has really done.
