Okay,
I admit the title is corny. This one will be about the teams that will,
"anew" suck in the upcoming NBA Season. Oops, I''ll omit suck. They will
not but their lack of experience, catastrophe and bad luck will make
them a lottery team once more. This is just my analysis, you can
complain every time you feel not agreeable with what I said. Just
remember, "explain before complain". Ok, this one is not in order. I
assure you I''m fair with this one. I even place my favorite teams here.
Here it goes: 1.
Atlanta Hawks - Do you ever wonder why it was place at the number one?
Yes, you''re right, it''s because the first letter is "A". Ok, the
Atlanta, without a question, is a promising team. But promising means
future. And since we''re talking about Next season, they''ll be
disqualified for being a contender. Looking at their lineup, the eldest
is Anthony Johnson and the youngest is their rookie. Their star is Joe
Johnson and the spoiler''s role belongs to Josh Smith. Mike Woodson must
show improvement or else he''ll be sent to the chopping board. Atlanta
has been a prospect team for 4 years. They should start living to their
expectations right now and strides for improvement.2.
Charlotte Bobcats - They acquired J-Rich from Nellie''s team. They can
make an impact this season, no doubt. Gerald Wallace, J-Rich and Emeka
must be more assertive. Their weakness will still be youth and
experience. Their coaching staff is whacked. But don''t count on that,
(remember Mike D''Antoni when the Suns are not yet successful?) the true
test on this team is whether they can make the most of what they got
during the off season. I don''t want to be dunked on, do you?3.
Indiana Pacers - Ok, this team is now at the end of their mini-run.
Jermaine O''Neal is not happy, Rick Carlisle was fired. Everything that
goes for the team is not "so good". It''s not good because guys like
Dunleavy and Tinsley is playing at their peak, while the team is moving
in the different direction. It''s sad because the team has a winning
season most of the time. You bet, next season will be their worst ever!4.
Memphis Grizzlies - I bet this one will own the worst record after this
season. The Grizzlies, 2 years ago restructured their team by getting
reliable veterans and dismissing the service of the "attitude guys".
Problem is, the veterans became old too early, and most of them spent
the season on the injured list. That has always been the problem of
getting "bed-driven players". This season they are forced to go young
anew (get a great point guard) and change the coaching staff. And look
I''m not even talking about Gasol''s unhappiness towards his team.5.
LA Clippers - They fell short for the services of Steve Francis. Shaun
Livingston is again out for the whole season. Sam Cassell looks like my
grandfather right now and Elton ruptured his Achilles. What''s the worse
thing I can say? It''s a sure thing that they will not contend for the
postseason this conference. I''ll slit my lungs if they do.6.
New York Knicks - New York has been always strong on papers. Still it
doesn''t translate into success that makes the fans wonder if the Knicks
should start the rebuilding phase (which means throwing expensive
players away). It will be either they''ll make playoffs or they''ll
linger in the "L" territory (I know you are thinking losers but what I
mean is lottery). If Zach, Eddy, Steph and Jamal play complementary
basketball, then look out.7.
Miami Heat - Can you say the word "old"? The Heat is on the verge of
being a lottery team. With Shaq, becoming truly old, and Wade, plagued
by injuries, it''s safe to assume that winning will also grow old for
the heat. Everybody expect them to upgrade their roster, but they
don''t. They just signed an "old hardaway" and a guard who can''t even
distribute the ball. For heat''s fans, let me excuse for a while, I''ll
just say "Youe case of the Hawks. The difference
is they live to their expectations faster than any younger team does.
With Andrei Iguodala, slowly becoming the Franchise player (and not
just a showman) and others complementing each other properly, this
maybe the time for Philly. Time to improve though, not playoffs.9.
Portland Blazers - When I heard that Great Oden was injured and would
require surgery, I laughed. The fans do not. Surely they feel bad about
this. No doubt Blazers will be the same Blazers as last year.
Difference? Yes. The promise and the intriguing talent will amaze
teams. Brandon Roy (the ROY) should at least score more and lead his
team more. Wait, Randolph is no longer their. Yipeee….10.
Seattle Supersonics - Being a young team, it''s egregious that the team
will not enter playoffs. Don''t count on this team as the team that will
enter the post. What am I excited about is the explosiveness of this
team. Kevin Durant and Jeff Green. Let''s just see. If they can add
quality big men to this team, then I''ll omit them to this list and
replace it with Mondray''s Lakers. These
are just my analysis. Though, this analysis has points. I don''t make
bullshit writing for the sake of just writing itself. I feel that you
want the Lakers on the list, or any other. As usual I''m accepting any
suggestions and comments. This blog is always open. Just remember:
"Explain before complain". Are you excited for the next season? Then
share what you have in your mind.
