In BRANSON MO
http://www.jimowenmusic.net/showagend.htm

"Best Traditional Country Music Show in a daily format."
-- American News Journal

Legendary singer and songwriter Jim Owen has been entertaining audiences with his comedy and award winning musical talent for years in Branson.

A legend in his own right, country music singer and songwriter Jim Owen will be returning to Branson this fall and winter season for a limited engagement at the Dutton Family Theater. Owen is a performer of many talents, and as a result is a member of four Halls of Fame and starred in the Emmy-Award winning PBS special, "An Evening with Hank Williams."
It is Jim''s singing and songwriting for which is best known, though, and many of his classic hits will be featured during this incredible morning show. Artists like Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Mel Tillis, Charley Pride, Waylon Jennings, Jim Ed Brown, and more have enjoyed hits written by Jim Owen. In fact, Jim was the songwriter behind Conway & Loretta''s classic "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man," which was named the #2 Country Duet of All Time!
Jim is a great songwriter, he''s starred in movies and may be the best pure entertainer in the business. The "Best Entertainer" statement was underscored in 1985 and again in 1987 when Jim was named "Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year." He starred in "Legends in Concert" at the Imperial Palace on the world-famous strip for six years, one of the longest "runs" in Vegas history. Fans in Japan, Australia, and Hawaii, were treated to the Jim Owen magic when he took his show on a world tour. Jim has also toured Holland, Germany, Belgium, and the British Isles, and was one of the first country singers to appear at the renowned Glasgow Music Festival. A lot of his fans know and love him for his portrayals of Hank Williams Sr., in two television movies, and he always includes a tribute to the "King of Country" in his show. His PBS special "Hank" was voted public televisions best show of the year in 1977.
Every year, Jim creates a brand new show from scratch. He gives tribute to country greats throughout the show, and every year has a tribute to one of country''s finest stars, this year it is JIM REEVES
One of the great things about Branson is that you get to ''meet'' the stars, and the Jim Owen Show is no different. Jim spends about 20 minutes before the show milling about the lobby of the theater talking with his guests. He also spends about 15 minutes at intermission posing for photos and signing autographs. And of course, he is available at the end of the show. This is one Branson show you don''t want to miss!
