ARE WE GOING BACK TO THE STONE AGE?
Apropos the report ''The Big Belittling" is an eye opener not only to the Bachchans'' but also to many of the Indian celebrities. The intellectuals at same voice raised their concern to the degrading ritualism of the so called VIPs. As one of the intellectuals said, since the film personalities have many fans because of their role they played in the films, the fans especially the younger ones try to adopt their real life too, this is a very dangerous situation. Bachchans'' should make note of this fact very seriously, to save the upcoming generation. It''s really mad to marry a tree, even the illiterate think twice before taking such an action. What a great fall! Is he living in the 21st century? Or is he going back to the Stone Age? He should understand that nobody can bribe a God by putting a huge sum in hundies, sometimes it maybe a pleasing thing to the people around and may get some special VIP treatments from them at the cost of others. He must understand that all are equal before God. When will he realize his folly? When will he set apart some time energy and amount to the underprivileged of India? Mr. Bachchans, that will be a real blessing. I appreciate Outlook for bringing out such a report along with his father''s poetry. Let Mr. Bachchan recall and recite and by heart the verses of his father''s poetry "Madushala", and let him at least now realize his folly and what his father''s legacy was. P.V. Ariel.
