Another blog another day and its Turkey all the way and an irate writer blogs back about The Turkish Elite .......... funny old world really as here I am held to the view that
Orhan Pamuk is and was the Turkish Elite ........ however, there is a correction here as the Turkish elite are the Ruling Class of Turkey and presumably any other country they choose to colonize ... control ... or dominate culturally!
But the view of the writer is that the Presidents Wife Mrs A Gul is overspending on lunch at Washington ... where in Washington ..... her Embassy the Turkish Embassy has had to pay her expenses .... and the PM Mr Erdogan has a son married to a Prince .. fancy that.
And there is more to come. the Muslim Ladies group wear Gucci and Versace clothes .. fancy that .. what about their fabled scarf .. I suppose The Scarf lives on traditionally in history and rhetoric. It seems as if the Turkish Elite enjoy Italian clothes .. but then we all do ... but we have to pay for them across the counter .. and it costs!
Pejoratively its anybodys game to work out and understand why Elite Society should continue when everyone else in Turkey is outside this rich and famous society .... keep me posted .. excellent blog .. from Turkish blog USA ...
