India at last managed to win the coveted Border-Gavaskar trophy. But you know, it's India's second series win against Australia since 2000. First it was in the 2000-01 series and now its this time. The series will go down in the history books as the one favouring all the Indian players. First it was Gautam Gambhir, who got his first double hundred. Along with that, there was the Very Very Special Laxman, who too got to the 200 run mark and also reached his 100th Test. Anil Kumble - Jumbo - was in the record books for most wickets by an Indian. (I am only not sure about this.)Sourav Ganguly went past the 7000 run mark and called it a day. The Master Blaster and our very own Sachin Tendulkar, became the highest run-getter by surpassing Brian Lara. And he also reached / crossed the 12,000 run mark. Harbhajan Singh went past the 300 wicket mark and also scored two important half centuries. Ishant Sharma, proved himself by claiming the Man of the Series Award. Amit Sharma too dominated the spin department and made vital contributions. And last but not the least, the captian himself - M S DHONI - leading from the front. It was, all in all, a very memorable series. Congratualtions India!
