The author is very critical on the students behavior whenever they have grievances to be addressed by either the administration or the government. He writes that the students should adopt a better way of tackling there problems without resolving to violence because it's them, the students who suffer in the end as these strikes, demos and boycotts lead to deaths, injuries and lots of time wasted.
University students as put down by the author, seem to think they are important in the society and that their needs should be met unconditionally, not knowing that it is a changing society where the times when students used to be cherished by their villagers just for making it to the university are long gone.
The author states that they should realize that some things cannot be controlled by the government and by stoning cars on the roads, barricading highways, burning structures, nothing is solved at all, in fact a lot is lost in all these.
