He's in the money ... big money ... who am I referring to ... well ... Southampton's highest paid boss earns more than $5,000 a day - he earns in under a week what the average city worker takes home in a year! Isnt he lucky! His name is Chris Woods and he looks the picture of respectability and good health! He made nearly $1.9m as Chairman of€W Technology - - he has achieved record sales as follows: Approximately ¤579 an hour which compares to the average take home pay of a Southampton worker's annual salary which is ...¢22,688. Mr Woods who hails from Hedge End founded a Contracts Company in 1989 and he has gone from strength to strength! Congratulations to Mr Woods on his great financial success in the money business! I am always amazed at the beauty of creation and especially the BIRDLIFE around here! I am awakened every day by birdsong - is this normal well ... The Daily Echo thinks so and has produced /The Shot of a lifetime/ what a picture ... what a photograph ... taken by Dennis Bright of .................... the osprey ... God's wonderful creation - we all appreciate even today in this overcrowded noisy polluted world! - Dennis Bright couldnt believe his luck when he captured on film this beautiful osprey! Bright chap .. like myself ....I put in poetic form a poem too in Bright Voices published in London UK! Dennis and I have obviously got a great eye for detail and beauty! In the interests of progress every day I walk across the M3 Motorway and cross the slip road which connects to M27 and leads into Avenue of Southampton: I am amazed at the volume of traffic, big lorries, euro trucks, family cars, big National Express buses etc.
, all in full flow on the busy motorways here in the South: I can remember times here when England's green and pleasant land was precisely that! You could see trees green and beautiful even at the end of your garden; a view of Winchester's Cathedral was your daily visual delight! Well history and progress stands still for none of us and many old buildings now lie underneath concrete! Saints Pub is threatened again by bulldozers and they have "thrown out" a controversial scheme to knock it down and build a block of flats on the site! Lets hope they win through in the end and we are not to be deprived of this heritage! In this connection .... Cruise ship packs a big punch on board and the ship is in dock ... Freedom of the Seas .. due to arrive in Southampton on Saturday this is the world's biggest cruise ship! Lastly, Kate Thompson writes up the story of a LIVING NIGHTMARE which is a story concerning a woman called Sam Hooper who is 24 years old and she has been squeezed into a tiny bedsit with her five year old daughter .. sounds familiar ... I hope she (and I) can buy property that is suitable to our needs ... none of us wish to be dumped in such circumstances as this ... Happy reading ... continue ... reading Southern Evening Echo ... daily ...
